Paying Your Fees

Fees are crucial for the continued operation of the Playgroup. As a non-profit-making charity, all of our income comes from fees, government funding for children who qualify, and fundraising/donations. Our major expenses are rent for the use of the DPLA Building and staff costs.

We are registered for the Welsh Governments Childcare offer for 3 and 4 year olds.

To check your eligibility and to sign up to the scheme visit Conwy County Council's website and search for 'Childcare offer'.

As part of the process of enrolling, you are asked to sign a contract which states that session fees are payable in advance weekly or monthly. An account which falls into arrears and where no payment is made for over two weeks invokes suspension proceedings, continued non-payment may result in formal recovery action being taken.

To make things as easy as possible, we are happy to accept payment in the following ways:

• Childcare Vouchers
  • We are members of many of the most popular employer childcare voucher schemes - an easy way to reduce the cost of childcare by paying out of your pre-tax wages.
  • We are happy to sign up to any provider we are not already affiliated with. Please contact us with the details giving as much notice as possible.
  • Our 'P' number for use with Edenred: P20751471
  • We also accept Tax Free childcare vouchers, please ensure you choose Deganwy Playgroup from the list, not Deganwy out of school club.
• Direct Bank Credit via BACS/Faster Payments Service
  • We are happy for you to set up automatic Standing Orders if you prefer.
  • Please use your child's full name as the payment reference.

Fees are processed every Thursday morning.  If your account is in arrears you will receive an email as a reminder to pay before your child's next session.  If you require a receipt please email jo@deganwyplaygroup.co.uk.

Please note: if your child is absent whether it's due to sickness or holidays, fees are still to be paid for any session your child was due to attend.

In certain circumstances we have to pass on our charges to you, as explained below.

• Formal recovery costs, such as court fees, court order enforcement charges, etc
